Maintenance Planner devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Maintenance Planner work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Purpose
The Aircraft Maintenance Planner reviews customer requirements, constructs bid estimates and develops workflow plans and production schedules in coordination with Operations. This position has the option to work remotely.

Reports to the Sr. Director of Planning.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Candidates must have experience in Aircraft Maintenance Planning or Maintenance Programs at a Part 145 Repair Station, Part 1221/135 Airline, or Aircraft Equipment Manufacturer OEM.
DESIRED
Holds a valid mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.

Working Conditions
The work is performed in an office environment, aircraft hangar, at the departure gate or on the aircraft parking ramp.
