Maintenance Planner devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Factory Planner

As a Factory Planner for CONMED, you will work directly with the factory manager, factory teams, purchasing and logistics to plan, forecast, manage and execute production schedules, along with the corresponding material planning to ensure that production schedules can be met to meet our customers’ needs.
Responsibilities :
Work closely with the factory manager and operations team to establish forecasts to fulfill customer orders, assess capacity, and monitor available materials needed to meet production schedules and demand.
Collaborate with the operations team to confirm and plan factory capacity.
Evaluate delivery discrepancies, research causes, and work with operations teams and management to implement effective corrective measures.
Facilitate communication and coordination among manufacturing, procurement, engineering, finance, and suppliers concerning component and schedule requirements and adjustments.
Conduct frequent material, labor and capacity reviews to maximize production and efficiency in meeting production schedules and demand.
Proactively identify, manage and resolve material issues and bottlenecks, material delays / shortages, and labor issue that will impact production.
Establish and monitor inventory production levels to ensure that inventory goals are achieved and that appropriate inventory levels are maintained, avoiding excess inventory.
Run, monitor and publish backorder reports to identify and report on issues. Work with factory management, engineering and other team members to identify and resolve issues, presenting remediation plans to management.
Monitor safety stock levels and performance, with regular reporting to factory management.
Monitor work orders to ensure that they are released in a timely manner, intervening as needed, to ensure that factory goals are met or exceeded for build schedules, inventory levels, etc.

Work collaboratively with the operations team on the establishment of factory production goals, monitor progress and take actions to maintain schedule compliance.
Partner closely with the purchasing team to ensure robust component materials pipeline and to address any component quality or delivery concerns.
Participate in projects, with teams, and in Kaizen events to drive cost reduction, process improvement and quality improvements.
Required Qualifications :
Associate’s degree required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and technical proficiency
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelors degree
Manufacturing / med device experience
Communication and negotiation skills
This is a full time onsite position in Utica, NY
0-20% travel.
This position is not eligible for employer based visa sponsorship.
Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is 55,000 to 85,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
