Maintenance Planner, Sr. devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner, Sr. develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner, Sr. utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Maintenance Planner, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. You would also:- Plan future proactive work for the maintenance craft.
- Develop and continually improve job plans, preventative maintenance and TPM activities and the follow up work.
- Work with the maintenance team to update documented maintenance PM’s for all plant equipment and work with Maintenance Manager to eliminate failures through root cause failure analysis.
- Work with engineers on upcoming projects and plan activities that will include maintenance labor and material with their projects.
- Update and maintain equipment history records in system and equipment history files.
- Provide unput and support to maintenance department, purchasing, and parts staff, entering JDE and Fastecrib requisitions.
- Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
The Skills and Experience you need:- GED or High School diploma required.
- 5 years of maintenance experience or completion of technical college degree in related field.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Working knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems.
- Possess analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrated track-record of collaboration on projects, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with / or establishing a team.
- Ability to multi-task and handle tasks with competing priorities
