Maintenance Planner, Sr. devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner, Sr. develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner, Sr. utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Maintenance Planner, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. ATI is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our facility in Cudahy, WI. Our Maintenance Planner position reports to the Maintenance Manager and is an integral part of a dedicated team who take great pride in helping ATI achieve maintenance, production, and quality results.
In this position, you will be responsible for planning the most economical and efficient methods for processing job orders. The Maintenance Planner reviews and analyzes drawings and specifications and prepares detailed job orders to fill requests from the Engineering department, Planning department and Maintenance department for small to medium projects, equipment, facilities, and spare parts.
This role is also responsible for instituting the most efficient methods to sequence jobs into daily work schedules based on priorities, available material, machines, and manpower, and following up on work in process.
A successful Maintenance Planner is attentive, organized and detail oriented. This person will be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment and is motivated to quickly learn about ATI’s products, processes, and quality standards.
This is a first shift position from 7am-3pm, Monday through Friday.
