Major Gift Director - Higher Ed. designs and implements a college/university fundraising program in the area of special and deferred gifts. Devises and executes plans to qualify, contact, and cultivate potential new donors. Being a Major Gift Director - Higher Ed. requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a department/division. The Major Gift Director - Higher Ed. manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Gift Shop/Retail: Help people find what they need, stock items, organization, light cleaning, take payment. Time commitment: We open May 1st and close mid October. The bulk of the season is June-August which is when we primarily need our staff. We prefer full time since there is so much information to learn, but we do hire part time as well. Our hours in the summer are 8am to 10pm and shifts are usually 6 to 8 hours.
