As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and a positive shopping environment, as many of our customers are tourists and experiencing a first time visit. Your ability to upsell products, communicate effectively, and assist customers in finding the right products will contribute to the success of our store.
At Saturday Mornings you'll be joining an amazing team of existing associates. All of our team members are enthusiastic, friendly, dependable self starters who take pride in thier work, possess a passion for home decor, have attention for detail, confident meeting new people and truly enjoy what they do! If you are a mature person who posseses these same qualities, and one who is capable of working independently as well as with others, we encourage you to apply! This part time position offers a flexible monthly schedule with no evening shifts. Must be available to work one weekend per month.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a welcoming manner and provide excellent customer service
- Drive sales by assisting customers with selecting products and making purchasing decisions, suggestive selling, sharing product knowledge
- Operate POS and process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and possess an attention for detail
- Assist with incoming inventory including receiving, stocking and pricing new merchandise, as well as the ability to incorporate such into store displays
- Ability to interact positively with customers and handle customer concerns in a professional manner
-Ability to take direction and execute work effectively, both independently and with others
Skills:
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating discounts
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Proficiency in operating point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred, but not required
- Previous experience in retail sales, home decor or interior design is preferred, but not required
Requirements:
-Must be able to stand for designated length of shift
-Must be able to lift 10 lb box or item
-Must be able to climb a small ladder and/or reach over head to retrieve displayed wall items for customers
