    The Facilities Director helps fulfill the mission of Alice Drive Baptist Church by ensuring our resources and facilities are available for the church's ministry.

    Position Specifications:

    ¨ Must be a believer of Jesus Christ and demonstrate a Christ-like attitude in performing all work in order to exalt our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

    ¨ Must embrace the Core Values associated with the church and employment.

    ¨ Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, etc. A high degree of accuracy is expected with regard to communications, written and verbal.

    ¨ Must have the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with others and be able to submit to the spiritual authority of the Lead Pastor.

    ¨ Must be able to work effectively in a dynamic and changing environment.

    ¨ A positive outlook and approach to problem-solving are essential.

    ¨ Must be a self-starter. Must be able to work with limited supervision.

    ¨ Must be detail-oriented and goal-oriented.

    ¨ Must excel in ministry commitment, conduct, and professionalism.

    ¨ Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license with a clear driving record.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    ¨ Is responsible for the coordinated use and maintenance of all church-owned property, buildings, and grounds.

    ¨ Has experience with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in a commercial environment.

    ¨ Responsible for safety systems and compliance authorities.

    ¨ Responsible for basic maintenance of church-owned vehicles and equipment.

    ¨ Manages the computerized work order management system and assigns priorities to requests.

    ¨ Manages the computerized events calendar. Requires the ability to manage complex systems and schedules.

    ¨ Manages a complex HVAC scheduling computer system.

    ¨ Creates and modifies policies and procedures regarding the operations of the church.

    ¨ Is responsible for ensuring adequate space, finances and calendar time is given to various ministries to accomplish their core function in the church.

    ¨ Manages security and alarm systems and is on-call for alarms.

    ¨ Responsible for the proper opening and closing of the facilities each day.

    ¨ Provide supervision to assigned administrative and volunteer staff including, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, training, managing performance and mentoring individuals to optimum levels of ministry.

    ¨ Ensures that management processes and style fully support the church and staff's mission, vision, and values.

    ¨ Serve as a resource and provide support to staff members at all campuses of Alice Drive Ministries.

    ¨ Design and implement organizational strategies that align with the vision and mission of ADBC.

    ¨ Coordinate budgets for assigned ministries.

    Physical demands (with or without reasonable accommodations):

    ¨ Moderate lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, temperature extremes, exposure to the elements, pushing, pulling, twisting, etc. are required on a regular basis.

    ¨ Lengthy periods at the computer, including using repetitive motions.

    ¨ Ability to apply mental processes. Ability to concentrate.

    ¨ Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals.

    ¨ Regular disruptions, ability to deal with critical issues and emotional individuals. Must be able to maintain control under pressure. Multi-tasking situations will exist, frequently under time constraints or other pressures.

    ¨ Ability to change and work in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

    ¨ Limited exposure to publicly transmitted diseases, such as colds, viruses, etc.
