Cashier / Floater: (Gift Shop and/or Greeter)

Qualified candidates should be friendly, honest, super reliable, a team player, and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills; be able to maintain focus and have a professional demeanor while serving a large number of visitors; show initiative; and be comfortable with operating a computer desktop POS cash register. Candidates will perform cashier duties accurately and efficiently completing all sales transactions and maintaining proper cash accountabilities at a POS cash register. Gift Shop candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Greeter candidate must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

The UFO Museum is open 7 days a week 9AM - 5PM.

Full-time 40 hours per week work schedule from 8:30AM to 5:30PM.

Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Counts cash register bag and sets up the register at the start of the shift.
• Welcomes each visitor as they enter the Museum or the Gift Shop.
• Scans bar codes into the cash register and totals the amount due.
• Accepts cash payments, processes credit card payments, issues receipts and give change.
• Gives cash refunds to customers for returned items and processes exchanges.
• Stocks, displays and dusts merchandise; keeps clothing neatly folded and sized.
• Reconciles totals on the cash register tape against cash on hand at the end of the shift.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the work area at all times.
• Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards (Polo shirt and Black pants)
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with visitors and fellow employees.
• Excellent attendance and arriving on time.

Experience:

• Cashier: Prefer 1 year of experience
