Major Gifts Manager manages and implements a philanthropic gift program to nurture and solicit relationships with corporate, institutional, and major donors. Develops a portfolio of existing and potential donors and a strategy to enhance and extend relationships to generate philanthropic revenue. Being a Major Gifts Manager organizes events and meetings with prospects to raise awareness of the organization's mission and highlight accomplishments and ongoing funding needs. Makes regular personal contact with key contributors to strengthen relations with the organization. Additionally, Major Gifts Manager oversees proposal preparation and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Major Gifts Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Major Gifts Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage campers in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Take attendance and follow a group schedule from 8:30 am until 3:20 pm The schedule will have eight different activities a day and each activity lasts for thirty-five minutes. Most activities will have a Specialist present to teach the activity.
- Call parents weekly to update them on their child's activities and provide them with a weekly description of events.
Qualifications:
- Education degree is a MUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- PRIOR TEACHING EXPERIENCE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED
- Camp background a major plus
- First aid certification is a plus
- Experience working with students or educating youth
