Major Gifts Manager manages and implements a philanthropic gift program to nurture and solicit relationships with corporate, institutional, and major donors. Develops a portfolio of existing and potential donors and a strategy to enhance and extend relationships to generate philanthropic revenue. Being a Major Gifts Manager organizes events and meetings with prospects to raise awareness of the organization's mission and highlight accomplishments and ongoing funding needs. Makes regular personal contact with key contributors to strengthen relations with the organization. Additionally, Major Gifts Manager oversees proposal preparation and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Major Gifts Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Major Gifts Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. General Description: The Major Gifts Officer will play a pivotal role in cultivating and stewarding relationships with major donors to secure significant financial support for United Christian Academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, soliciting, and stewarding major donors, as well as managing a portfolio of high net-worth individuals and institutional donors.

Work Schedule:
Academic school year plus 25 days.
Position Status: Salaried, Exempt
Compensation: $$70,000 Annually plus 2% commission on donations of $100K paid quarterly
Physical Demands:
Standing/walking (40%), sitting (40%), lifting (5%), climbing (5%), bending (4%), squatting (6%). Must be able to lift 10-25 pounds.
Work Environment:
Work environment includes indoor and outdoor environments in office setting. Floating desk assignment and/or shared office space may be required; moderate noise levels commensurate to an office environment.
