Major Gifts Manager manages and implements a philanthropic gift program to nurture and solicit relationships with corporate, institutional, and major donors. Develops a portfolio of existing and potential donors and a strategy to enhance and extend relationships to generate philanthropic revenue. Being a Major Gifts Manager organizes events and meetings with prospects to raise awareness of the organization's mission and highlight accomplishments and ongoing funding needs. Makes regular personal contact with key contributors to strengthen relations with the organization. Additionally, Major Gifts Manager oversees proposal preparation and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Major Gifts Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Major Gifts Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Position Summary:

The Intake specialist works in a warehouse-like setting sorting and providing good customer service to the donors of Rock County. This includes sorting the daily flow of donations and interacting with the public, volunteers, and guests from the shelter. Previous warehouse experience is preferred. Ability to drive the company truck and work with equipment that bales clothing is preferred. The donations received will benefit the store and provide revenue to the GIFTS Men’s Shelter. Store is open M-Sat - 10-6pm. Saturday 10-5pm.
Responsibilities:
· Greet donors and receive donations including providing tax receipts.
· Sorting through donations and bringing items to the appropriate departments.
· Maintaining a clean work environment and ensuring safety measures are being upheld.
· Cleaning and clearing work area at the end of each shift.
· Participation in daily devotions with the team prior to the opening of the store.
· Providing coaching and feedback to guests from the shelter where and when appropriate.
· Tracking donations daily and reporting numbers to Business Store Manager.
· May be asked to cover other departments as needed.
· Train on bailer machine to assist in moving bales to warehouse.
· Conducting Inventory as necessary
· Other duties as assigned by the Retail Supervisor or Store Manager.
