Mammography Technologist operates specialized X-ray equipment and performs various mammography related procedures including screenings and diagnostic studies. Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion. Being a Mammography Technologist creates and maintains patient records and files according to required procedure. Cleans and adjusts equipment as needed. Additionally, Mammography Technologist requires an associate degree or completion of a formal radiologic technology training program. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)Diagnostic Mammography. Mammography Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Under supervision of a Radiologist performs mammographic examinations utilizing a variety of sophisticated radiologic equipment in the diagnosis of patient condition, taking into account individual patient's special physical or age related needs.

    Hours: Full-time, 1.0 FTE, Day Shift, 40 Hours Per Week

    Required Qualifications:

    • Associate's Degree - Radiologic Technology. Or,
    • Coursework/Training - Graduate of an ARRT approved program.
    • National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 1 year of hire.
    • National Registered Technologist - Mammography within 1 year of hire.
    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 2 years - Clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
    • 1 year - Clinical experience as a Mammographer.
