Mammography Technologist jobs in Boise, ID

NiteLines USA is looking for mammography technologists to join the team! 

This position would be working at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.

The performance hours of the MTF are as follows:

7:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday NTE 40 hours per week.

Monday through Friday except for Federal Holidays and ACC Family Days.

ARRT Cert required.

The applicant must have been continuously employed in the practice of diagnostic radiology or in training for 24 months within the last 36 months.

Projected start date: August 28, 2023

Responsibilities of a diagnostic mammography technologist include:

• Operating a mammography unit to produce images of the breasts for diagnostic purposes under direction of a physician
• Explaining the procedure to patients, positioning and immobilizing the patient’s breast in unit, and observing the scanning process
• Creating and maintaining patient records and files according to required procedure
• Cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed
• Performing other diagnostic imaging exams, such as general x-ray, fluoroscopy, bone densitometry, and stereotactic scans

• Evaluating the quality of the mammographs and consulting with physicians on the interpretation of the images
• Helping to train student mammographers and assisting in research, development and evaluations of new imaging equipment or techniques
• Guiding patients through each step, answering questions and easing any anxieties
