Mammography Technologist operates specialized X-ray equipment and performs various mammography related procedures including screenings and diagnostic studies. Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion. Being a Mammography Technologist creates and maintains patient records and files according to required procedure. Cleans and adjusts equipment as needed. Additionally, Mammography Technologist requires an associate degree or completion of a formal radiologic technology training program. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)Diagnostic Mammography. Mammography Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. This position would be working at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.
The performance hours of the MTF are as follows:
7:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday NTE 40 hours per week.
Monday through Friday except for Federal Holidays and ACC Family Days.
ARRT Cert required.
The applicant must have been continuously employed in the practice of diagnostic radiology or in training for 24 months within the last 36 months.
