Mammography Technologist jobs in Fayetteville, NC
Mammography Technologist operates specialized X-ray equipment and performs various mammography related procedures including screenings and diagnostic studies. Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion. Being a Mammography Technologist creates and maintains patient records and files according to required procedure. Cleans and adjusts equipment as needed. Additionally, Mammography Technologist requires an associate degree or completion of a formal radiologic technology training program. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)Diagnostic Mammography. Mammography Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Description:
This is a PRN position working at the Outpatient Diagnostic Center. The Mammography Technologist is a registered professional who provides health care related imaging services to patients of a broad range of ages through the use of Mammography Radiological equipment. These images assist the Radiologist in the diagnosis of disease processes. The Mammography Technologist duties are performed within the framework of Sampson Regional Medical Center's policies and procedures and current professional standards. Additionally, the Mammography Technologist will be trained to perform diagnostic radiology and dexa scans as needed.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Currently ARRT registered in Radiography
- Registry or registry eligible in Mammography
- Minimum three (3) years in general radiography
- General knowledge of other imaging modalities
- BLS certification
