Mammography Technologist operates specialized X-ray equipment and performs various mammography related procedures including screenings and diagnostic studies. Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion. Being a Mammography Technologist creates and maintains patient records and files according to required procedure. Cleans and adjusts equipment as needed. Additionally, Mammography Technologist requires an associate degree or completion of a formal radiologic technology training program. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)Diagnostic Mammography. Mammography Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Position Summary
Testing Personnel will be responsible for specimen processing, test performance, reporting test results and working closely with other clinical and non-clinical staff to aid in patient assessments and care. The technologist will only perform tests that are authorized by the Laboratory Director and that are within the individual’s skill level as determined by education, training or experience, and technical abilities.
