Mammography Technologist jobs in Lima, OH

SUMMARY:

Provides a variety of technical radiographic procedures including the additional modality of mammography, under the direction of a radiologist.  Clerical procedures, and other duties will be assigned as directed by the Lead Mammography Technologist or Department Manager.  Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on assigned unit.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains proficiency with all procedures and equipment in the assigned radiology area, performs procedures with efficiency and safety.
• Maintains technical proficiency in the additional modality of Mammography.
• Maintains or develops other related skills depending upon the departmental need.
• Performs diagnostic and screening mammography; assists with other diagnostic services.
• Performs x-ray procedures including fluoroscopy and standard x-rays.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and personnel information as per hospital policy.
• Maintains acceptable attendance and punctuality according to hospital policy.
• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with stated Mission and Core Values of Bon Secours Mercy Health. 
• Embraced Standards of Behavior in order to provide and promote excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.  Holds self and others accountable for behaviors that promote service excellence.

Employment Qualifications
Required Minimum Education:    2 Year/ Associates Degree
Specialty/Major:  Radiology    ARRT Certified in Radiology and Mammography
Preferred Education:    2 Year/ Associates Degree
Specialty/Major:  Radiology    ARRT Certified in Radiology and Mammography
Licensure/Certification Required:    Current ARRT (R)(M); ODH Radiologic Technology License; BLS
Licensure/Certification Preferred:    Current ARRT (R)(M); ODH Radiologic Technology License; BLS
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Years and Type of Experience:    Graduate of an approved JRC program
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:    Must possess an ability to communicate effectively.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:    Must possess skills and initiative to function independently.  Must possess a positive attitude, flexibility and willingness to adapt to change. Computer skills, manual dexterity and excellent film/image critique skills.
