ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE:

• Greet and escort patient for imaging procedure.
• Collect and record patient data.
• Interpret physician’s reports.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedure.
• Explain to patient in detail the events that will take place during their exam.
• Answer any questions the patients may have prior to and after the procedure.
• Performs diagnostic examinations using mammography imaging equipment.
• Interpret clinical data provided on requisitions and adjust technical factors if indicated to produce optimal images.
• Complete knowledge of Acquisition station, Soft Copy workstation, tool pad and its functions.
• Knowledge of Laser Printer and Mammography quality assurance requirements.
• Keep accurate, up to date records of all supplies used, report stock level to administrator, and initiate orders to replenish stocks.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness in work and patient care areas to practice and maintain aseptic conditions.
• Practice sterile techniques in all activities to prevent cross-contamination.
• Perform standard Xray radiographic procedures as required.
• Provide radiation safety protection to patients in accordance to prescribed HRS safety standards.
• Scheduling patients for procedures.
• Knowledge of RIS software and call for support when problems arise.
• Knowledge of PACS workstations and its functions.
• Cross-train in other modalities as see fit by administrator.
• Assist in other areas, wherever needed at the center.
• Willing to teach other technologists/students as see fit.
