Mammography Technologist operates specialized X-ray equipment and performs various mammography related procedures including screenings and diagnostic studies. Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion. Being a Mammography Technologist creates and maintains patient records and files according to required procedure. Cleans and adjusts equipment as needed. Additionally, Mammography Technologist requires an associate degree or completion of a formal radiologic technology training program. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)Diagnostic Mammography. Mammography Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Medical Front Office Admin to fill an opening with a specialty medical practice in the in Poinciana.
Daily Responsibilities for Mammography Technologist:- Performs mammography imaging services and related procedures by applying x-ray energy to demonstrate breast anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention.
- Operates mammography equipment and performs various mammography related procedures.
- Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
- Explains procedures and educates women about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
- Responsibilities also include preparing and maintaining records and files, and cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Works under general supervision.
- ONSITE….Shift is Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
- HS Diploma/GED Required
- Radiologic and Mammography Technologist Certification by the A.R.R.T.- Required
- Current State of FL Radiology and Mammography license- Required
- BLS certification Required
- 2 years of experience working as a Mammography Technologist
- Handles all diagnostics and screenings (no biopsies),
Preferred Qualifications for Mammography Technologist:- Bone Density Testing A PLUS, so please include
- Experience working under GE machine A PLUS
- Knowledge running QCs on equipment, will likely have someone else do this but if they have experience please include

Pay Details: $$18.00/hour - $$53.00 - $$60.00/hour
