Managed Care Coordinator coordinates utilization reviews of managed care contracts using established guidelines and processes. Ensures all clinical operations comply with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines and other managed care policies. Being a Managed Care Coordinator communicates with physicians, discharge planners and others to process referrals, authorization for services, and capture data related to utilization. Maintains managed care contracts and information databases and prepares reports. Additionally, Managed Care Coordinator typically requires an associate degree in nursing. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Typically requires Registered Nurse (RN). The Managed Care Coordinator has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. To be a Managed Care Coordinator typically requires 5-7 years of related experience.     This opportunity for a Activities Coordinator is to plan, set up, and oversee activities and events . The Activities Coordinator will assist clients in setting and attaining short and long term goals in becoming as independent as possible.

    The Activities Coordinator will utilize a team approach by sharing insights and information while accepting the same from other team members.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • High school or GED diploma; OR able to demonstrate to management the ability to read written instructions and to make appropriate entries regarding services in recipient records or files.
    • CNA or MA certification preferred (not required)
    • Minimum 1 year of experience working with elderly and with clients with complex medical condition required in lieu of CNA license
    • Possession of, or ability to qualify for, chauffeur's license in compliance with Municipality of Anchorage regulations is highly desirable.
    • Possess current CPR and Basic First Aid certifications (preferred); or be able to obtain upon hire.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age per State of Alaska DHHS Job Requirements.

    POST JOB OFFER REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be able to pass the State of Alaska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) background check criteria.
    • Must be able to comply with the State of Alaska DHHS annual tuberculosis (TB) testing requirements.
