Managed Care Finance Director directs and oversees all policies and procedures for the financial and data operations of managed care contracts. Manages contracts, negotiates and sets rates, and reviews reimbursement levels and managed care agreements to ensure that proper payment practices are utilized. Being a Managed Care Finance Director implements processes that encourage and inform the organization how to increase levels of reimbursements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Managed Care Finance Director typically reports to top management. The Managed Care Finance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Managed Care Finance Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. As the Director of Finance, you will collaborate closely with the president of the company to effectively manage the company’s financial operations while also playing a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the company.     Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate closely with the President and corporate owners to effectively manage financial operations, fostering a successful partnership
    • Lead the annual operating budget process, including collecting pertinent information, seeking input from department leaders, and implementing efficient strategies to meet budget goals
    • Analyze data to monitor and enhance the company's current and future financial status, providing valuable insights for decision-making
    • Direct the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and reports for governmental agencies, ensuring accuracy and compliance
    • Research new laws and regulations, communicate their impact on the company, and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance
    • Uphold compliance with internal audit standards, conducting weekly cash flow analyses to optimize financial performance
    • Oversee the annual audit and preparation of tax returns, ensuring transparency and adherence to regulatory requirements
    • Manage compliance with business licenses, property tax, and sales & use tax obligations to mitigate legal risks
    • Review financial reporting structures, accounting procedures, and investment activities, recommending improvements to enhance controls
    • Conduct annual and periodic reviews of corporate insurance policies, ensuring adequate coverage and risk mitigation
    • Maintain strong relationships with business banking partners to support the company's financial needs
    • Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the finance department
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to use sound judgment to make decisions in line with company goals
    • Ability to work in multi-cultural environments
    • Proficiency in problem-solving, analytics, and creative thinking
    • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
