Marketing Liaison

  • POSITION SUMMARY:

    The purpose of this position is to act as a representative between the Company and referral sources, promoting effective communication and program adaptation to meet the needs of the community. The Marketing Liaison educates referral sources and the community about the Company and its services. This position functions as the Company's representative for community events, health fairs and recruitment activities.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

    • Responsible for a designated geographical territory and maintaining accounts within that territory
    • Achievement of an established individual monthly sales quota for which all Marketing Liaisons will be held responsible
    • Work closely with Company staff to help coordinate needed services for clients
    • Attract and maintain business relationships in the health care industry
    • Coordinate and participate in community events, i.e. recruitment functions, career days, etc. when needed
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with referral sources
    • Work closely with assigned offices to achieve proposed company census and revenue objectives
    • Visit and establish effective rapport with physicians, office staff, discharge planners and other referral sources
    • Participate in external marketing including building relationships with referral sources
    • Support marketing functions sponsored by the communities to engage in community networking, conducting physician visits and meeting with discharge planners
    • Complete an on-site visit to the referring facility to review the physician orders, assess the patient's clinical needs and obtain clinical information once the referral is obtained as requested
    • Maintain monthly budget for assigned service area
    • Attend required meetings and in-services as requested
    • Abide by all policies and procedures set forth by state and federal regulations
    • Abide by all policies and procedures set forth by the Company
    • Ensure protection of confidential information that is stored, handled, or maintained by following Company policies and procedures related to confidentiality and/or HIPAA regulations
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills:

    • Superior customer/sales service and knowledge
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal which includes active listening
    • Works requires advance knowledge of the homecare industry, and other State/Federal regulatory changes

    Required Work Experience:

    • Minimum of one (1) year in Sales and Marketing preferably in healthcare

    Licensing/Certification/Education Requirements:

    • High School graduate
    • Associate degree in Business or Health related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred

    Other Requirements:

    • Position may require unscheduled overtime, week-end work
    • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours
    • Travel required
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Current State Drivers’ License
    • Current Auto Liability Insurance according to Company Policy

    Required Computer Software/Equipment Used:

    • Advanced Microsoft Suite skills
    • Demonstrate proficiency with EMR Software Applications
    • Demonstrate knowledge and ability to use multiple computer programs
    • Demonstrate proficiency with HRIS System
    • Standard Office Equipment
    • Computer

    Physical Requirements:

    • Frequent lifting of objects up to 30 pounds
    • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling
    • Work is typically performed in a standard office environment
