Managed Care Provider Relations Manager develops, manages, and sustains relationship with members of physician network of managed care service providers. Recruits new physicians and manages the credentialing and orientation process. Being a Managed Care Provider Relations Manager serves as a resource for physicians, answering questions and providing information about network procedures or contracts. Monitors provider performance and resolves any issues. Additionally, Managed Care Provider Relations Manager reviews billings and claims payments according to managed care contracts. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the head of a unit/department. The Managed Care Provider Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Managed Care Provider Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District is currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. Under the supervision of a physician, the Advanced Practice Provider provides care, to his/her established patients.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilites:

    • Provide established care to patients under the supervision of a physician.
    • May order laboratory, x-ray, therapy and specialty referrals
    • Prescriptive privileges include those authorized by the protocols for Nurse Practitioners and the Medical Director.
    • Shall ensure that medical records of patients seen by the Nurse Practitioner are complete, and that they are available to the Medical Supervisor for review and signature, in accordance with district policies.
    • Works with the physician and/or management in review, update, implement and maintenance of policies, procedures and protocols.
    • Whenever physician requests, or whenever all other tasks are completed, will accompany physician both as a learning technique and to become better acquainted with patients.
    • Any other duties assigned by management.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Education: Graduate of an accredited Master’s Degree Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
    • Licensure, Registry or Certification: Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Texas. Certification from the ANCC or ANA as a Family Nurse Practitioner within one year of employment. ENP-C, preferred.
    • Prior Work Experience: Prior experience in providing medical care to established patients in a clinic setting.
    • Personal Job-Related Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills necessary to work productively with patients, families, employees, nursing and medical staff, and other departments.
    • Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require moderate periods of standing and walking, and sitting for extended periods. Lifting up to 50 pounds and some bending, reaching, and stooping. Occasional heavy lifting when moving or supporting patients whom may suddenly become weak or helpless.
