EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The following tasks are essential for this position. Incumbents in this classification may not perform all of these tasks or may perform similar related tasks not listed here.Thoroughly analyzes program and operational issues. Collects data sufficient to support conclusions and recommendations. Complete the analysis consistent with established deadlines. Writes reports which support ideas logically. Writes clearly and convincingly employing a style and structure content to suit the audience. Makes effective verbal presentations. Develops and presents ideas and issues in a convincing verbal manner. Keeps supervisor informed of problems and issues of which the supervisor may not be aware. Maintains effective and continuing rapport with other governmental units. Effectively represents the City on issues of importance to the City. Established rapport with City staff of all levels. Is effective in obtaining and providing information and resolving issues in question. Understands and is able to adapt to the management style of immediate supervisor. Maintains a current and thorough working knowledge of City programs and their requirements.Keeps abreast of current developments and trends in the field of public administration. Assists in budget preparation and review. Gathers and analyzes data on existing programs, conducts surveys, and prepares proposals for the budget including financing, staffing, and organizational levels.Environmental Programs & Operations Analyst- Public Works DepartmentThe individual in this position will be responsible for compiling and maintaining records of waste, recycling and organics route audits, gathers data, and develops outreach concerning food recovery program that educates commercial edible food generators and increases access to food recovery programs. For information about this department visit; Culver City - Public Works Red Light Camera Analyst - Police DepartmentThis individual in this position will review incidents and all associated evidence captured by photo enforcement equipment. Will electronically issue citations for photo enforced red light camera violations and will prepare evidence and testimony packages for court appearances. Will provide statement and court testimony for trials and respond to Discovery and Public Records Request for red light camera evidence and documents. Responsible for special projects as assigned by Command Staff. For information about this department visit; Culver City - Police Department Fleet and Facility Services Analyst - Fleet Services/Transportation Department The individual in this position will possess professional-level administrative and analytical experience related to asset lifecycle management and process improvement skills. The position will assist with asset management, performance benchmarking, action plan tracking, zero-emission vehicle programming and analysis. For more information about this department visit; Culver City - TransportationTransportation Planning Analyst - Transit Planning/Transportation Department The individual in this position will be responsible for transportation and transit planning works/projects, including but not limited to the following initiatives: multimodal mobility service planning and implementation; comprehensive service analysis; mobility infrastructure projects; Transportation Demand Management Program; micromobility programs; review of land use projects, developments, and environmental impact documents; project, contract, and procurement management; Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping and analysis; competitive grant applications; and monitoring of local, regional, and national transportation legislations, projects, and issues. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to training and experience that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way (not the only way) is the possession of a BA/BS degree and two years of professional administrative work in a public sector environment.
