Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Possibly reorganize and/or eliminate duplicate or non-essential jobs and/or business processes.
2. Provide leadership and assistance with special projects as directed.
3. Complete assigned projects by the assigned deadlines.
4. Analyze and propose ways to improve the LU's organization's structure, efficiency, and/or profits by way of reducing costs or improving efficiencies.
5. Arrange for staff training in all areas of professional.
6. Provide annual and interim reporting to management and outside sources as required.
7. Design, establish and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organization's goals and objectives; recruit, employ, train, supervise, and evaluate unit staff.
8. Develop and manage annual budgets for the organization and perform periodic cost and productivity analysis.
9. Provide direction in the purchase and development of the department's hardware and software.
10. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
11. Coordinate with 3rd party vendors and complement with existing resources.
12. Assess business process relationships and develop decisions to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.
13. Communicate with University Leadership.
14. Participate in weekly director and staff meetings.
15. Perform weekly update meetings with managers and direct strategy meetings.
16. Provide encouragement, quality control and resources for division managers and their employees to enable them to complete their job successfully.
Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies
A bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience, experience with both Resident and Online Learning Programs, and with SunGard Higher Education Banner Automated Student Information Services Tool required. Ability to articulate and defend the unique Christian educational mission and vision of Liberty University and its subsidiaries to a wide variety of individuals and groups. A master's degree is preferred. Individual must not be convicted of, or pled nolo contendere or guilty to, a crime involving the acquisition, use, or expenditure of federal, state, or local government funds, -or- be administratively or judicially determined to have committed fraud or any other material violation of law involving federal, state, or local government funds (CFR 668.14(b)(18)(i)).
Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Excellent computer and organizational skills.
