Job Description

The Lead Financial Analyst will support the Category Management team within the Outdoors Business Unit of Fortune Brands Innovations. This role will help the group achieve its strategic goals by being the key business partner to the VP, Category Management, and their team for our door business to drive financial support by utilizing a deep understanding of the channel, category, and competitive landscape. 

Position location – This role is designated as a hybrid role which includes working at least 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in our main office located in Maumee, OH to foster better collaboration, connection, and innovation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Product Line & Channel Profitability – Responsible for working closely with finance operations to create consistent reporting on profitability by product & channel and partner with the category management team to drive consistent value creation from the insights.
• Partner with financial leaders to identify opportunities for financial reporting and modeling advancements that directly support the category management goals and objectives.
• Develop strong relationships with the category management team, including providing financial support while utilizing a deep understanding of the channel, category, and competitive landscape.
• Be the point person for all Outdoors New Product Vitality Index (NPVI) reporting and analysis.
• Partner with the Category Management team to support collective efforts on Product lifecycle management and portfolio financial reviews.
• Work closely with category management and RGM to support analysis of market pricing through the channel, list price changes, & other analysis.
• Provide financial and analytical support to the category management team – and help drive key deliverables, such as long-term product life cycle management, discontinuation analysis, and portfolio management views. 
• Partner with the data and BI team to be the voice for category management to drive improvements in data, dashboards, POS, market share, etc. to better manage the category.
• Responsible for the creation and review of mix & product analysis, and key growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• 8 years of experience working in Accounting, Finance, or related analysis experience
• Process Improvement driven mindset
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively cross-functionally
