Management Development Manager leads and directs the creation of a leadership development strategy and programs that align with strategic business imperatives and develop management capabilities throughout the workforce. Identifies, designs, and develops frameworks that represent skills and leadership capabilities critical to long-term and short-term objectives. Being a Management Development Manager aligns training, coaching, professional development, and experiential assignments to the leadership development strategy. Develops approaches to engage individuals in well-defined and ongoing career development. Additionally, Management Development Manager define career paths and supporting training and development programs. Fosters a culture of informal knowledge exchange, coaching, and training to engage and develop the workforce. Conducts periodic succession planning and talent assessments to ensure critical roles are defined. Creates slates of individuals identified for leadership development activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Management Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Management Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Description:

    The Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) develops and implements job skills training, in-service education, orientation and onboarding or new staff.  The purpose of the role is to assure our building is a great place to work and receive care by making certain our staff are welcomed, competent, and supported in their development.  Our SDC is a key contributor to workplace culture, promoting and upholding our organizational values.

    What you will do: 

    • Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance work flow, and/or improve the work environment.
    • Work cooperatively with the Administrator and Director of Nursing in assessing educational needs and plan programs to meet these needs and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor certification and license status and renewals.
    • Administer TB and Hepatitis B vaccines.
    • Conduct new hire orientation.

     

    What you need:

    • Registered Nurse with required NC.
    • Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in a health care setting; long-term care setting preferred.
    • Must have a current/active CPR certification.
    • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
    • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
    • Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
    • Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.

    Candidates will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis for exemptions to this requirement in accordance with applicable law.
