Management Development Manager leads and directs the creation of a leadership development strategy and programs that align with strategic business imperatives and develop management capabilities throughout the workforce. Identifies, designs, and develops frameworks that represent skills and leadership capabilities critical to long-term and short-term objectives. Being a Management Development Manager aligns training, coaching, professional development, and experiential assignments to the leadership development strategy. Develops approaches to engage individuals in well-defined and ongoing career development. Additionally, Management Development Manager define career paths and supporting training and development programs. Fosters a culture of informal knowledge exchange, coaching, and training to engage and develop the workforce. Conducts periodic succession planning and talent assessments to ensure critical roles are defined. Creates slates of individuals identified for leadership development activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Management Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Management Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. SUPERINTENDENT

  • Seeking an experienced, working superintendent to work with a team of superintendents for a large Mitchell Lama Coop (7 buildings, 1750 unit complex) in Far Rockaway, Queens. This position is a live in, 32BJ Union position and comes with a Two (2) bedroom apartment.

    *If you have less than 5 years of fulltime superintendent experience and working with large staff , do not apply

    Minimum of five (5) years of experience supervising building operations and large maintenance staff.

    • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage approximately 40 building employees.
    • Supervise and direct all cleaning, maintenance, and, onsite staff in day-to-day operations and perform daily property condition inspections to ensure all common areas are properly maintained and clean.
    • Interact heavily with and provide exceptional service to our residents by handling all

    resident maintenance requests and following up and tracking open tickets.

    • Perform move-in, move-out, and turnover inspections.
    • Conduct Regular preventive maintenance throughout the property to include both interior and exterior.
    • Provide overall leadership of facility maintenance, including planning, developing, and preforming preventative and routine maintenance schedules.
    • Submit incident reports to management regarding emergencies, resident incidents, staffing incidents, unsafe conditions, etc.
    • Advise management on maintenance issues and projects as requested.
    • Complete repair work and projects in a timely manner. Where possible, oversees staff/contractors. Where necessary, self-perform repair work.
    • Proficiently skilled in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and basic construction. Ensure that all mechanical infrastructure systems, electric, ventilation, and pool operation are well maintained.
    • Work with outside agencies such as Fire Department of New York (FDNY), Department of Buildings (DOB), and Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) departments, to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations related to facilities and grounds.
    • Knowledge of building operation and fire safety codes and regulation required.
    • Knowledge of budget management, building security, HPD codes and regulations strongly desired.
    • Ability to work jointly with the security team.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Solid computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Driver’s License required.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $32.16 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week
