Managing Attorney is responsible for managing the daily operations of a law firm or an organization's legal department. Provides leadership and participates in the most complex legal actions. Being a Managing Attorney directs law office operations, case assignments, and staffing. Oversees the activities and work products of subordinate attorneys. Additionally, Managing Attorney monitors case status, timelines, and issues. Mentors and coaches attorneys and implements staff professional development programs. Requires a JD. Requires State Bar membership. Typically reports to top legal executive. The Managing Attorney manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Managing Attorney typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Evans, GA for an Associate Attorney at Huggins Peil, LLC. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for working with the litigation department, and will provide legal support, research legal issues, draft legal documents, and represent clients in state and federal courts where you are licensed to practice. You will also assist with case management, document preparation, and client communication.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar Association of Georgia and/or the South Carolina State Bar
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience in civil litigation, preferably in family law or personal injury
- Proficiency in legal research and case management software
- Ability to handle a high caseload and prioritize tasks
- Professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
