Managing Attorney is responsible for managing the daily operations of a law firm or an organization's legal department. Provides leadership and participates in the most complex legal actions. Being a Managing Attorney directs law office operations, case assignments, and staffing. Oversees the activities and work products of subordinate attorneys. Additionally, Managing Attorney monitors case status, timelines, and issues. Mentors and coaches attorneys and implements staff professional development programs. Requires a JD. Requires State Bar membership. Typically reports to top legal executive. The Managing Attorney manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Managing Attorney typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Litigation Associate Attorney Qualifications:
    • Licensed member of the Florida Bar and in good standing.
    • Must have a minimum of 3 years of litigation in Personal Injury, Corporate Litigation, Civil Litigation, Corporate, Real Estate and all types of Contract and Insurance Disputes experience.
    • Must have excellent writing skills as well as possess strong and persuasive oral advocacy skills.
    • Must be organized, with a clear and concise communication style.
    • Must be a self-starter.
    • Must be able to review a file and determine the strategy of the file.
    • Must be able to negotiate settlements.

    Litigation Associate Attorney Duties:
    • Preparing legal documents (motions, responses to motions, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence).
    • Handle court events (hearings, depositions, mediations, etc.)
    • Communicating with the clients so they understand the posture of their case (teleconferences, meetings, and correspondence).
    • Meet with the partners so that you can understand what is being done to move the cases forward.
    • Meeting with the team to go over daily tasks/achievements for the current day and the prior day.
    • Billing all time into the system.
    • Settling cases.
    • Review files to determine case strategy.
