Managing Attorney is responsible for managing the daily operations of a law firm or an organization's legal department. Provides leadership and participates in the most complex legal actions. Being a Managing Attorney directs law office operations, case assignments, and staffing. Oversees the activities and work products of subordinate attorneys. Additionally, Managing Attorney monitors case status, timelines, and issues. Mentors and coaches attorneys and implements staff professional development programs. Requires a JD. Requires State Bar membership. Typically reports to top legal executive. The Managing Attorney manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Managing Attorney typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Overview
Seeking a Michigan barred Attorney to handle general business litigation and collection matters in court for our regional recreational equipment (Off Highway Vehicle) rental company located near the beautiful Silver Lake Dunes State Park.
Work will consist of pursuing various legal matters including but not limited to collection for damaged equipment. Consultations on various legal matters, authoring, and proofreading of contracts, assist with maintaining compliance to various regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Function as a contact person for legal compliance matters
- Interpret and ensure compliance with various regulatory requirements
- Provide assistance as well as input to matters assigned
Qualifications
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain and foster cooperative and courteous working relationships with the public, peers, and supervisors.
- Juris Doctorate Law Degree
- Ability to practice law in Michigan
- Ability to practice law in Nevada and California a plus
- Proficiency at using a computer for email, browsing, document creation, research, and data entry
- Ability to communicate clearly over the phone, online, and in-person
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when acting as a representative of SunBuggy
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch, bend, and reach.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize work, respond to varied and changing work demands, and make decisions as required.
