Managing Attorney is responsible for managing the daily operations of a law firm or an organization's legal department. Provides leadership and participates in the most complex legal actions. Being a Managing Attorney directs law office operations, case assignments, and staffing. Oversees the activities and work products of subordinate attorneys. Additionally, Managing Attorney monitors case status, timelines, and issues. Mentors and coaches attorneys and implements staff professional development programs. Requires a JD. Requires State Bar membership. Typically reports to top legal executive. The Managing Attorney manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Managing Attorney typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Central Oregon Animal Hospital in Bend, Oregon, is seeking a Full Time Managing DVM to lead our team!


    We are a multi-doctor, small animal GP practice located in beautiful Central Oregon. We are looking for a self-motivated, compassionate candidate capable of providing high-quality medical care in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with a clear understanding of the importance of client education and customer service are a must. Proficiency in soft tissue surgery and dentistry required.


    We have a well-established practice with dedicated and talented support staff. We offer a four-day work week with rotating Saturdays and no after-hours emergencies.

    About the Managing DVM:


    The Managing DVM (MDVM) is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. The MDVM is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine is delivered.

    In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the MDVM is responsible for the financial performance of the hospital, preparing operating and capital budgets, and meeting budget expectations. In addition, the Hospital Manager and MDVM are responsible for directing staff and the overall management of the practice, under the direction of NVA Divisional Leadership.


    Job Requirements:


    ·       Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, or equivalent, from accredited university

    ·       Licensure in good standing

    ·       Strong medical and soft tissue surgical skills

    ·       Exemplary communication skills

    ·       Self-motivated, team-oriented, compassionate individual

    ·       Positively represent the hospital to our clients and community
