    Position Overview:

    This position supports management, as well as the Commercial and Logistics Departments with system entry of supplier and consumer contracts, load receipts and shippers, communication and scheduling of loads and assists in the further utilization of the companies’ systems as directed. The primary responsibilities of this role are to ensure that supplier and consumer information, along with associated Company support and production documents, are entered into Company systems as soon as possible. The position aids in the management of payment receipts and applications, payments to suppliers and the effects on inventory management of the above.  


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following are general responsibilities associated with the position as directed:

    • Learn RIMAS Scrap Management software in all aspects as related to supplier and consumer interactions.
    • Enter Purchase Orders (PO) and Sale Orders (SO) - also referred to as contracts.
    • Assist the facilities and logistics teams in scheduling and managing the shipment of commodities of various metal types and forms.
    • Support the purchase of loads against POs and Shipments against SOs
    • Assist in matching receivers to the POs and ensures appropriate payment calculation. 
    • Assist in matching shippers to the SOs, tracks receiving weights, ensures appropriate invoicing and payment applications upon receipt of funds.
    • Bookkeeping functions of various types; AR, AP, non-trade items, account reconciliation of all types, expense analysis and other reports as needed.
    • Assist in the sourcing and monitoring of freight rates, accruals, and tracking both within RIMAS and in any other method deemed suitable.
    • Assist in development of structured system of communication for all orders and commercial interactions.
    • Assist in training and elevating the use of the company systems and procedures with other team members.
    • Other duties as assigned from time to time.

    Requirements


    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a customer support or transportation.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful. 
    • Extended working proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with focus on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely using appropriate mediums (for example, face-to-face, e-mail, and presentations), listen effectively, demonstrate understanding, and clarify meaning for others.
    • Ability to analyze, define, diagnose, and resolve problems based on sound logic and rationale.
    • Ability to interact cooperatively and collaboratively with others as a team, including those holding divergent and/or opposing views and goals.
    • Is always courteous and professional to team members both inside and outside of the Company.
    • Proficient, timely and courteous in filing, call, fax and message handling and delivery.
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
    • Knowledge of scrap metal recycling industry a plus.
    • Highly organized and professional.
    • Ability to learn quickly and adapt easily to change.
    • Strong management and communication skills.
    • Ability to work quickly, independently, and with confidence to handle many challenges.
    • Work well with others in a fast-paced, non-stop environment.
