Manufacturing Director oversees manufacturing operations and the production management and supervisory teams for a plant or unit. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Press Engineering Tech will report to the Press Production Supervisor
Daily Duties
1 Daily verification that press tools and operator tool bags are present and in correct locations Assist with procurement of missing press tools and operator tool bag items
2 Verify all required press operator paperwork is completed correctly and submitted daily to the correct locations for review Data entry of press production info as required
3 Oversee press area operation and change over efficiency.
4 Assist with die and press equipment changeovers and set ups
5 Assist with improving and maintaining cleanliness and organization of press area
6 Assist with acquiring information for existing and new die set up sheets along with updating and maintaining die set up sheet books for each press
7 Monitor Press area production for quality issues and be proactive in quality improvements
8 Internal steel coil tracking and organization along with FIFO usage verification
9 Suggest and assist with implementation of press area operation and production improvements
