What YOU will do:
You will report directly to our Vice President of Operations or delegate in our Hope Hull Manufacturing Center of Excellence while planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing manufacturing activities of production and product support functions and employees engaged in the assembly and testing of components and final assemblies for finished goods electronic systems in a manner which optimizes utilization of manpower, equipment, material and facilities in accordance with cost, schedule, quality requirements and Miltope’s processes and procedures. Your role is critical to the success of our business and customer satisfaction and as such you will own and be accountable for Manufacturing Operations including Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Production, and Product Support functions. Successful performance in this role also includes accountability for achieving overall company goals and objectives aligned with Executive Leadership.
Essential Functions(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
· Accountable for achieving Production Revenue goals through actively managing all manufacturing operations including daily production processes, people, products, equipment, and environment ensuring Ontime Delivery and Quality exceeded
· Oversee all work in assigned departments for safety, high quality, and efficient results
· Contribute to development of departmental budgets
· Assure Manufacturing First Pass Yield within goal optimizing thruput and efficiency
· Manage planning of backlog production items collaborating closely with procurement for on time sourced materials delivery
· Optimize manufacturing capacity while maximizing associated labor utilization
· Collaborate across functional groups with urgency and agility to support Manufacturing Operations in achieving goals
· Provide support, training, and assistance to all product teams.
· Lead and collaborate with all internal functions to avoid, mitigate, remediate issues impacting customers
· Manage manufacturing processes & associated continual improvement through kaizen, and built in Quality through AS9100:ISO9001 adherence
· Lead with extreme ownership mindset for total ownership and accountability
· Drive issues to resolution while mitigating risks with effective communication to Executive Leadership
· Ensure all production employees properly and adequately trained, certified as required to perform duties.
· Sustain high level of 6S across Operations with emphasis on Total Safety at all times.
· Develop workforce through strengthening leadership skillsets
· Hire, coach, counsel, and develop and administer performance appraisals of direct reports
· Prepare reports as required.

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
· Minimum Bachelors Degree in an Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering field
· Minimum 10 years Production Supervisory experience in electronics assembly with increasing roles of responsibility and last 5 years preferably in Aerospace/DoD electronics industry
· Minimum 5 years AS9100/ISO9001 production experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
· Strong electromechanical aptitude applicable to PWA and PWB’s and associated electronic components and mechanical assembly/test hardware
· Ability to read and effectively interpret electrical schematics and production part drawings
· Strong Urgency, Self starter, Agile, problem solver, Accountable
· Strong RCCA Problem solving leadership
· Strong Leadership, Facilitation, and Organizational skills
· Ability to analyze data/situations and draw relevant conclusions
· Manufacturing Lean/Kaizen experience
· Ability to lead, direct, and develop others with effective Leadership that promotes transparency, creativity, urgency, extreme ownership mindset
· Certification / Knowledge of IPC-610 desired
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Position environment is neutral with low to moderate noise exposure, is a seated position requiring the extended use of a computer and computer equipment. Position may infrequently be required to move equipment and other machinery up to 50 pounds across a room. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
