Manufacturing Director oversees manufacturing operations and the production management and supervisory teams for a plant or unit. Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Director monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems, and recommends process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiency. Collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop long-term solutions. Additionally, Manufacturing Director implements long-term plans for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce resources to maintain manufacturing capacity and processes that support business goals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Manufacturing Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. - Perform other such duties as may be required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- The ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 60 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Attention to detail and focus oriented.
- Knowledge in using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Ability to solve basic math calculations.
- Well organized, analytical thinking with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.
- Work well with others and work as a team.
- Display and maintain enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
- Must cooperate with other associates in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
