Job SummaryPerforms a variety of engineering work in planning, design and modification of fixtures, tools, and manufacturing processes. Resolves production problems and completes documentation on assigned parts
Job Responsibilities- Develops, evaluates, improves and documents manufacturing processes
- Develops and implements process control techniques including work instructions using tools such as SPC, PFMEA
- Analyses manufacturing process flows continually for the improvements of quality, cost reduction, lead-time reduction for new work
- Collarborates with other functions to ensure effective production methods
- Coordinates part inspection procedures with Quality Engineers.
- Addresses and documents cause and corrective action issues to prevent future problem occurrences.
- Determines required material and tools for production
- Creates and registers changes to work instructions
Job QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or in lieu of degree 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
- 3 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, including Root cause methodologies experience, experience using basic inspection equipment and ability to read, write and comprehend blueprints
- 1 year of CAD experience, preferably NX
- Must be a US Citizen or US Persons to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.
Additional Qualifications:
- Aerospace experience is strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of quality system models such as ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000
- Training and/or experience in lean tools and techniques (Practical Problem Solving, A3, PFMEA and /or Fishbone diagrams)
- Project / Program Management
- Ability to use test equipment and inspection equipment
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Fluent in English language, both written and spoken
