Your role at Clorox: GLAD Manufacturing Company is seeking applicants for the position of Process Engineer at the Amherst, Virginia plant. The qualified individual will be a hands-on plant engineer focusing on the technical support to operations as well as leading multiple projects, including capital upgrades and commercialization initiatives. They will plan and implement projects as well as participate on teams as a technical resource. In this role, you will: Focus on equipment operation and systems design, efficiency improvements, cost savings and line upgrades. Serve as a technical resource for production employees and maintenance for problem solving and solution implementations. Provide day-to-day and long-term technical feedback to Engineering and Operations leaders on process maintenance and continuous improvement. Lead and implement capital projects from concept through feasibility, business justification, detailed engineering, equipment selection, installation and commissioning to achieve a vertical start-up. Has capital project management responsibility working on up to 5 projects within the first year. Key responsibilities may include other related duties as assigned. Technical expertise with both conceptual and systematic thinking skills. Manufacturing internship and/or co-op experience with Operations or Engineering focus is preferred.
