Manufacturing Engineer assists in planning and designing manufacturing processes for a production facility. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Being a Manufacturing Engineer determines the parts, equipment, and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications. SUMMARY
The position would be responsible for coordination of new product launches, continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing with special emphasis on welding. General responsibilities include manufacturing support for weld audits, issues on the floor, engineering changes or quality issues, set up reduction, cost improvement, tool and fixture design and adherence to commercial and military weld requirements.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar technical degree, proven experience in reading AWS and Military weld specifications, proficient in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), minimum of 3 years of experience in using CAD software, preferably ProE/Creo, able to interpret and communicate Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, cross functional team resolution of production fit and form issues, bill of material errors, and manufacturing routing changes using root cause analysis tools.
