Manufacturing Engineer Manager oversees the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency. Ensures the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively. Being a Manufacturing Engineer Manager is responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process. Reviews, evaluates and implements engineering changes and specification requirements. Additionally, Manufacturing Engineer Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Engineer Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     Job Description -Honda Marysville Auto Plant Mechanical Engineer Assist in the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems. Support the product development activities including drawing board layout and interpretation and implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements. Provide existing product line support in design activities and/or modification of hardware in production. At this level, assignments are moderately complex and require use of initiative and judgment. Your responsibilities: • Support project/process with reporting and communication • Support the achievement of overall project targets • Job process engineering, development & verification • Process maintenance and continuous improvement analysis • Support design analysis, development, and maturation • Develop solutions to problems of various scope and complexity using Honda problem solving methods • Develop and maintain job process operation standards, methods, and procedures in accordance with HAM safety, ergonomics, quality, and delivery standards • Test new mechanical equipment after installation to ensure quality and efficiency; make adjustments as necessary • Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems • Analyze equipment data to identify areas for improvement in equipment – use trend data to proactively address issues before they are major problems • Create timely/accurate records of actions taken in response to mechanical issues • Evaluate associate safety and ergonomics including insertion force and install posture Assist in the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems.
