SUMMARY

Supports and improves the manufacturing operations within the assigned focused factory through process enhancements, cost reductions, product improvement, and new product development by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs equipment justification, procurement, and installation/implementation support.
• Performs production troubleshooting to resolve product quality problems.
• Performs product and/or process design improvement as required.
• Designs and implements the manufacturing process for new products.
• Performs CAD drawing and maintenance when required.
• Designs/develops appropriate plant layout activities.
• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
• Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
• CI Tool exposure and use problem solving, work balance, and process mapping.
• Daily process and cell support.
• New product launch support on implementation.
• Improves and adjust existing cell layouts.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree in engineering; or equivalent two plus years of experience or combination of education and experience.  Bachelor's preferred.
