The Manufacturing Engineer Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Manufacturing Engineer Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. The qualified individual will be a hands-on plant engineer focusing on the technical support to operations as well as leading multiple projects, including capital upgrades and commercialization initiatives. They will plan and implement projects as well as participate on teams as a technical resource. In this role, you will: Focus on equipment operation and systems design, efficiency improvements, cost savings and line upgrades. Serve as a technical resource for production employees and maintenance for problem solving and solution implementations. Provide day-to-day and long-term technical feedback to Engineering and Operations leaders on process maintenance and continuous improvement. Lead and implement capital projects from concept through feasibility, business justification, detailed engineering, equipment selection, installation and commissioning to achieve a vertical start-up. Has capital project management responsibility working on up to 5 projects within the first year. Key responsibilities may include other related duties as assigned.
