Invio Automation’s Solutions division specializes in single station robotic cells, multi-station fabrication & assembly lines, bonding & welding technologies, vision systems, and packaging process. The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring fabricated parts get routed through our organization and out to the manufacturing floor where they can be assembled into the machinery and automation we build. In this role, the candidate will ensure designed and released parts either are routed to procurement for purchasing or to our internal machine shops for fabrication. This is true for custom parts as well as modified OEM parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process worklog parts, both fabricated and commercial, through our internal systems
- Reporting worklog tracking status updates daily to site leadership
- Releasing fabricated parts to our internal machine shop
- Place expense requests for fabricated parts that are to be 100% outsourced
- Place expense requests for raw stock that is needed for parts that are to be fabricated in our internal machine shop
- Create work orders & travelers for OEM parts that need modification in our internal machine shop
- Assign the processing steps required for fabricated parts to move thru the factory (fabrication, inspection, plating, etc)
- Make purchasing recommendations on which fabricated parts should go to which outsourced vendor
- Coordinate, or oversee, the cleanup of fabrication drawings that require minor updates to facilitate 100% outsourcing
- Work with Shop Supervisor to manage the workload of the internal machine shop and ensure that it is fully utilized
- Ensure that finished parts get delivered to the stockroom for storage until needed
- Place kitting requests for finished parts to be brought from the stockroom to the manufacturing floor.
Qualifications:
- Well versed in machine shop and manufacturing processes
- Outsource vs in house fabrication analysis.
- Processing of secondary steps, finishes, plating, or other specialty finishes.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP software (Oracle, SAP, ERPNext, or similar)
- Working knowledge of CAD software (Solidworks preferred)
- Ability to update prints as needed.

High School diploma or GED equivalent required. AS or BS in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations discipline preferred. Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing or machine shop experience.
