Manufacturing Engineer Manager oversees the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency. Ensures the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively. Being a Manufacturing Engineer Manager is responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process. Reviews, evaluates and implements engineering changes and specification requirements. Additionally, Manufacturing Engineer Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Engineer Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Manufacturing Engineer Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Direct and administer all maintenance and engineering activities pertaining to plant production and supportive equipment including preventative maintenance, machinery modifications, equipment repairs, new construction and plant utilities.

- Coordinate activities of all contractors as pertains to plant projects and maintenance functions.
- Install, relocate, and modify production and support equipment as required.
- Maintain plant security and fire protection systems.
- Actively participate in safety, health and E.P.A. programs at the plant.
- Develop or arrange for the development of training and manpower development programs.
- Training required by other agencies- Hazardous Waste, Spill Prevention and Control, Hazard Communication, etc.
5-7 years of experience.
