Description
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician I, AME works with minimal supervision to support engineering initiatives and projects for the Advanced Manufacturing team and support transfer of new products from R&D to manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Initiate purchase orders.-
Maintain a lab notebook.

Initiate Change Orders (CO’s).
-
Train production on new processes.
-
Perform device and prototype assembly.
-
Read, edit, and create technical drawings.
-
Perform process validation activities for Production tooling and equipment.
-
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues for new products and processes.
-
Execute test protocols by performing inspections, functional and destructive testing.
-
Aid engineering and provide input in equipment and tooling design, development, assembly, and qualification (IQ/OQ).

Aid engineering and provide input in process development including documenting manufacturing processes and equipment setup.

Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects and work tasks to help meet new product development objectives and deadlines.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

General knowledge of clean room procedures.

Minimum 2 years assembly experience in medical device industry; preferred.

Computer skills including Excel and Word.

SolidWorks knowledge; preferred.

Work in a clean room environment.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Follow company procedures and guidelines.

Knowledge of basic measuring techniques including scales, rulers, US, and metric measurement.
