The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assembling electronic components and products according to engineering specifications and quality standards. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, precision, and strict adherence to safety protocols. The Electronics Manufacturing Assembly Technician will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure efficient assembly processes and timely delivery of high-quality electronic products.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute soldering, wiring, and assembly tasks according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to assemble electronic components and products.
- Conduct thorough inspections of assembled electronic products to ensure functionality and adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues or discrepancies promptly to minimize production disruptions.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization standards with the work area and equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize assembly processes and improve product quality.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to foster a secure working environment.
- Continuously pursue professional development opportunities and skill enhancement in electronics assembly techniques and emerging technologies.
Preferred Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in electronics assembly or related field preferred.
- Certification in IPC-A-610 or equivalent standards for electronic assembly.
- Certification in IPC-J-STD-001 or equivalent, Space Addendum a plus.
- Adaptibility to evolving priorities and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in electronics assembly, soldering, and wiring techniques.
- Familiarity with electronic components, circuits, and assembly methods.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately.
- Proficient utilization of hand tools, soldering equipment, and electronic testing instruments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in assembly work.
- Previous experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
