Position Description: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Byesville and Cambridge, Ohio area
Position Summary: This position will design, integrate, or improve our manufacturing systems and processes to improve efficiencies and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:

Identifies opportunities to improve products or reduce costs.

Determines root causes of failures and recommends changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods. Investigate, establish, and implement equipment, tooling, fixtures, methods, and automation changes that improve product quality and the manufacturing process.

Support technical issues with diverse electromechanical assemblies. [GT1]

Incorporates new methods and processes to improve existing operations at all levels.

Prepares plant layout drawings that include process flow diagrams, warehousing and inventory layouts.

Makes recommendations for product design or process changes that improve the product quality and reduce labor content.

Supervises technicians, technologists, analysts, administrative staff, or other engineers.

Troubleshoots new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.

Reviews product designs for manufacturability or completeness.

Trains production personnel in new or existing methods.

Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.

Designs, installs, or troubleshoots manufacturing equipment.
Specific Requirements:
-
Has a high degree of knowledge and experience in using lean manufacturing tools to reduce throughput time of labor.

Can lead teams in implementing continuous improvements.

Basic PLC programming capabilities preferred.

Can prepare value stream mapping to analyze current and future processes for improvements.

ERP (EPICOR) experience preferred.

Experience and knowledge in supporting an ISO 9001/13485 quality system; by collecting information or data, writing work instructions, and performing any other tasks as needed, to maintain system certification.

Automation experience, preferably supporting high-volume assembly cells
Education level:
-
Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering. Relevant experience as an engineer in a manufacturing environment can be substituted, or

Minimum of 5 years experience in a fast-paced assembly manufacturing environment
