Manufacturing Engineer Manager

DescriptionOversees the Manufacturing Engineering Department within a plant. Ensures engineering projects are completed within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
Major Responsibilities:

• Reviews and evaluates department processes and procedures for continuous improvement.
• Responsible for Process Engineering, Project Engineering, working with CI Manager as well as Maintenance.
• Evaluates, and makes final determination on (with input from plant manager) the process recommendations of engineers to ensure they are accurate and consistent with the organization's short-term production plans.
• Leads the most complex, large, or difficult process engineering projects and develops innovative approaches to production problems.
• Estimates the cost, time and resources required for repair projects; prepares work orders and monitors the progress of work against estimates.
• Monitors industry trends and developments in engineering technology and makes recommendations on equipment/systems investments.
• Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports.
• Responsible for achieving department goals and objectives, and development of employees.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering – Masters degree in engineering preferred

• 5 years in leadership in a manufacturing environment
• 5 years experience in similar role
• Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma required – Black Belt preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $113,041.00 per year
