The Manufacturing Engineering Technician (III) is responsible for assisting Manufacturing Engineers with daily build support, build documentation, material setup, build cell fitup as well as any technical support under the direction of Manufacturing Engineers with support from the Manufacturing Engineering Lead, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Operations Project Manager, Production Supervisors and Project Manager.
- Assist in implementing client changes through an Engineering Change Order (ECO) process. This includes updates to manufacturing documentation used during builds.
- With limited guidance and supervision, provide hands-on troubleshooting and problem solving support within the project as needed.
- Make recommendations to Manufacturing Engineering to minimize delays and improve client designs to support DFMA.
- Collect and track identified information to support Manufacturing Engineering activities including product build Findings Reports, Work Instruction redlines, serialization, tool calibration, and quality improvements.
- Assist MFE’s and PM’s with identifying and logging Client Assets
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers with revisions and improvements to manufacturing documentation such as Assembly Flow Diagrams, Build Cell Layouts and Tool Matrix.
- Assist with Build Readiness Checklists and Cell Closeout Checklists.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineer with hands on training of EM’s and DET’s on project builds including sub-assemblies and integration
- May be asked to participate in project build and/or co-build with client.
- Identify Assembly Aids/Fixtures.
- Assist with identifying areas that require PPE as well as additional safety measures.
- Support 6s, Visual Factory, and Continuous Improvement activities as directed.
- Assist QE’s and QI’s with areas of inspection and auditing
- Participate and assist with Daily Standup Meetings
- Collaborate with project team in weekly Jira project meetings
