Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Manager monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems. Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials. Additionally, Manufacturing Manager collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop solutions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Summary: Seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager with a strong background in CNC machining and programming, project management, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
Minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC machining, programming, and fixture design
Proven experience in project management leading product launches and continuous improvement activities
At least 3 years of engineering experience in a fast-paced, continuous improvement production environment
Proficiency in ERP systems, such as Epicor or SAP
Solid knowledge of cutting tools, work holding design, and inspection methods
Proficient in SOLIDWORKS and CAM Simulation Software
Responsibilities:
Establishing and prioritizing schedules and assignments for the Manufacturing Engineering team
Managing product launch plans/schedules, setting priorities for the manufacturing process engineers
Recommending and implementing lean improvements to design processes, methods, and controls
Driving continuous improvement of lean manufacturing efforts
Coordinating manufacturing launches for new or revised products
Designing, developing, testing or sourcing various tools, machinery for recommended design methods
Creating and editing CNC programs.
