Manufacturing Manager plans, schedules, and manages one or more manufacturing production processes. Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the overall operations, facility and team environment. This entails directing all activities to ensure effective production of quality products to meet customer expectations, supporting the company’s strategic plans to achieve goals, and being a team-focused, hands-on leader to foster good working relationships. This includes listening and learning, while training and guiding associates to build a culture of teamwork and delivering results.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
A. Develop and manage an effective organization; select, hire, coach, counsel, and train to ensure positive morale and the achievement of all strategic and tactical goals.
B. Manage and work with all departments including engineering, maintenance, purchasing, production, scheduling, and quality to drive continuous improvements.
C. Ensure the effective management and safeguarding of the company’s human resources and assets, including inventory, buildings, machinery, and tooling; ensure facility is maintained, clean, organized, and safe with an atmosphere pleasing to all employees, visitors, and the general public.
D. Continuously monitor production activity using measurements for safety, quality, scrap, and efficiency. Report on these activities, including goals, to the organization.
E. Proactively address all safety issues.
F. Proactively address all quality issues.
G. Proactively address all production issues.
H. Implement and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and programs.
I. Represent the company professionally to customers, vendors, and other visitors.
J. Additional responsibilities as assigned.
